The Other Man In My Life

I have a secret to share.  There is another man in my life.  I love to snuggle under the covers with him.  We've laughed and cried together and shared some steamy nights!  Yes ladies...it was so steamy it fogged up the windows!  Well last night he completely failed me!  His battery went dead in the middle of some hot sex!  Why doesn't my Kindle have some kind of feature that would zap me, so I know to plug it in?  Wait a minute.  What did you think I was talking about?  Oh...did you really think I would share something that personal here?  Um no...well maybe after a few Martinis!  So tell me, has your reading device done this to you?  Once the juice is drained you have to wait forever for it to start up again.  It was the longest ten minutes of my life.
Many people don't realize that you can still read an ebook even if you don't own an ereader.  Amazon has a free app so you can download Kindle books on just about anything.  Follow this link to see if you have a compatible device http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=kcp_ipad_mkt_lnd?docId=1000493771.  There are loads of free ebooks out there just waiting for someone to read them.  Some are okay and others are fantastic!  I have found some authors that I absolutely love through one of their free ebooks.  It's a great way for new authors to introduce themselves.
So go download that app.  Then head over to my FB page and find some free reads.   Now I'm going to snuggle with my man and get back to that steamy sex!

BTW Smashwords http://www.smashwords.com is another place where you can filter for free reads and if you like the book you can link up to other works by that author.

  1. Haha, you had me going there for a second. Unfortunately, I choose not to read many e-books not only because I don't own an e-reader but because sitting in front of the computer the entire time is very strenuous. I still prefer to have a print copy to carry around.

  2. I don't think I will ever be able to give up my print copies completely. But my bookshelves are thanking me for lightening the load!
