What the Heart Desires by Kelli McCracken Blog Tour Review & Giveaway

What the Heart Desires (Soulmate Series, Book 4)

This is a crazy good series and my only complaint is that I need Book 5 now!

While Books 1-3 took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride, What the Heart Desires left me feeling like I had gone skydiving without a parachute!

I love an author that is not afraid to take risks and stays true to their story and Kelli McCracken is one of them! But be warned that this installment is not for the faint of heart and you must read it from beginning to end.

If you are one of the readers that says "WTF has Kelli done?", then keep reading....

Otherwise you are cheating yourself from an amazing book!

Don't forget to enter the Giveaway at the bottom of the post!

Torn by desire, will loving her mean the death of him?

Dylan McBride's Seeker abilities have always kept him a step ahead of his father. But one step isn't enough when it comes to his wife and child. His confrontation with his father leaves him questioning everything he knows, from his life with Heaven, to his part in the Supreme Trinity.

Layne is growing stronger, as is his Seeker. The more time he and Heaven share, the more he's able to control his Keeper abilities. But when new secrets emerge, he's forced to face the truth, as well as the emotions he keeps buried.

Among the death threats, constant hiding, and birth of her child, Heaven struggles to keep the peace between her soulmate and Keeper. More lies are exposed, threatening to destroy all that she loves. Will she be able to deny the truth once it's discovered, or will she give in to What the Heart Desires?

Kelli McCracken’s love affair with books began long before she could read. She didn’t let anything stop her from creating stories, even as a child.
That same passion still exists within her today. She is an artist by nature, a curator of characters. Kelli McCracken does her best to give each story and character great depth.
“It seems like all I do is write…and listen to Layne. He’s constantly whispering something naughty in my ear, like being dipped in chocolate. Now I want a Kit-Kat. Welcome to my zany life, where #SanityIsOptional, romance is required, and liquor is most definitely quicker. I love talking about my characters. Hope you like hearing about them.”
When she isn’t chasing kids, working on crafts, or sneaking off with a bottle of wine, Kelli spends her time writing.  Of course, it can’t be all work and no play. Once procrastination strikes,  you can usually find her hanging out on Facebook, Pinterest, or Spotify. Be sure to stop by and say hi. She loves chatting with readers.

Rockin' the Heart Release Day and Giveaway!!

If you don't like books that make you tingle, then you definitely need to skip this one...

If you like hot rock stars, then keep reading...

Heath is the lead singer of Hot Wired. Sam is his best friend's rebellious sister. Together, the two sizzle on the pages.

Living the life of a celebrity doesn't come without a price. What starts out as a publicity stunt, turns into something more for Sam and Heath. I loved how their fake romance sparked the flame that they had been trying to ignore for so long. There are many obstacles thrown in their way. Obsessed groupies, her protective brother Jase (who is also in the band) and a publicist that will stop at nothing to keep the band in the spotlight.

Heath has a reputation as a womanizer. He loves them and leaves them as their band tours the country. Sam is guarded, afraid that she will be another woman that Heath tosses aside. Can Heath convince her that those days are over and that she is the only one that he will ever love? Or will she leave it all behind to save her heart?

While the book is HOT, it does have a deeper story. They have been friends since she was a young girl and deciding whether or not you want to risk losing that friendship is the real challenge.

I have to admit that I fell a little in love with Sam's brother Jason. While he was an ass most of the time, he melted your heart with how much love he had for his sister. I can't wait for his story to be told in book 2!

Cover Reveal

Rockin the Heart
Gracen Miller

If music nourishes the soul…

Loved by millions, but shunned by blood, Heath “Fang” Fangor has led his band, Hot Wired, to the top while others have fallen by the wayside. He devoted his life to music, and from that devotion harvested a new family—his band mates and fans.

A man can desire nothing else…or can he?

Living in the shadow of her brother’s fame sucks! Sam Collins is desperate to have what she wants—a simple and uncomplicated life. She’s no stranger to scandals and how they work. Now that she’s inadvertently dragged Fang into the center of her latest gossip, could the scandal she created in her quest for freedom have gone too far?

Amid stardom the heart stages a new melody…

Fang has more fame and fortune than he will ever need, but none of that matters if he can’t have the woman of his dreams. Years have been wasted waiting for the right moment to approach the woman his heart desires above all others. There’s just one major problem...she’s his best friend’s sister. To have her, he will have to risk it all.

That might be responsible for Rockin the Heart!

Today is like a holiday for me! I get to reveal Kelli McCracken's cover for her Soulmate Series Book 3 titled What the Heart Takes!

If you haven't read the first two books in the series What the Heart Wants and What the Heart Needs, run and grab them HERE. Go ahead...I'll wait.

Did you get them? If not, you're missing out on an amazing series! You will fall in love with not only her writing, but her characters as well. I'm partial to Layne and I am impatiently waiting for his story. *hint hint Kelli*

Now on to the cover reveal!

Dylan McBride has never liked hiding - from his fans, the press, or his father. He's left with no other choice after his father threatens Heaven's life. Protecting his wife and unborn child is the only thing that matters. He'd do anything to save them. Even tolerate a connection she shares with her Keeper, the man sworn to save her life. The man he used to call his friend.

Layne's struggling with his pyrokinetic abilities, as well as accepting his role as Heaven's Keeper. As if kissing her didn't make things awkward enough, he learns that their connection is more complicated than he ever imagined. So complicated, it affects not only his mind, but also his soul.

Though he's taken to his Keeper duties, Heaven senses a battle between Layne's heart and soul. A battle that's preventing him from accessing his abilities. There's only one sure way to help him. Their friendship must deepen. But nothing's ever easy, and she soon discovers there's a thin line between love, hate, and What the Heart Takes.

Whew! Now I don't know about you, but I can't wait to read this. December is the tentative release date and it can't come soon enough for me!

Oh, and did I mention there is a giveaway? Kelli loves her readers so much, that she has some amazing prizes to gift:

1 signed paperback copy of What the Heart Wants: Soulmate Series Book 1
2 ecopies of What the Heart Wants
1 ebook set of What the Heart Wants and What the Heart Needs
2 eARCs of What the Heart Takes

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Keep reading to find out how you can connect with Kelli! She loves to interact with her readers!

When Kelli McCracken's not writing, she's usually looking for duct tape for her inner critic's mouth. Or begging her characters to let her sleep. When procrastination strikes, you can find her rocking out with an air guitar or hanging out on Facebook.

"Forrest Gump's momma said it best. Life is like a box of chocolates. Mine is full of nuts. My motto: Sanity is optional, but not a requirement. My characters love waking me up in the middle of the night for long talks. They have no sense of time."

Fave Friday

Fifty and fabulous…need I say more? #ahem. When I came across this picture, I just knew I had to do a Fave Friday post in honor of Mr. Sexy aka Jon Bon Jovi. Isn’t it a sin to look this good in a towel? Dear God, I need some prayer. I guess Living on a Prayer will suffice.

I hope all the ladies (and the men who aren’t afraid to admit they used to crank up Bon Jovi) will join me in raising a glass to toast Jon. Happy Birthday, handsome. Thanks for all the music and here’s to many more years of not only rocking out to your tunes, but to looking at your fine a—um, yeah. The picture says it all.

Blog Tour de Troops

Welcome to the first stop in the final day of Blog Tour de Troops. Your last stop was at Lili Tufel's Blog the next stop on the tour will be at Gracen Miller's.

Today I am dedicating my post to the memory of Army Sgt. Dominic Sacco.

1st Battalion, 13th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Riley, Kan.

On November 20th, 2005, my friend Lisa received the news at work that her brother Dominic had been killed in action.

Sgt. Sacco was a tank commander in the Army. On November 20th he had pushed himself through the hatch on his tank to check the perimeter in Taji, Iraq. While looking through his binoculars, a sniper caught him under his arm, where his body armor left him exposed.

What was your relationship like growing up?
Typical brother and sister relationship.  We bickered a lot, but got very close as adults.  Even though he was my little brother, he always took the role as my protector.

How has your family been affected by his loss?
My brother's son Anthony was only 3 months old when my brother was killed, so he didn't see any immediate affects as he was too young. Now he is 6 years old and really misses having his Dad around.  He tells us all the time that he wishes he could see him.  His step daughter Elyssa was 4 when he died, so she was still a little young to fully understand what was happening.  His wife Brandy is still coping with his death, and misses him terribly.  She sees him everyday in their son.

How was he honored for his service in the Army?
He received a purple heart and a bronze star.

What do you and your family do to remember him?

We do things like this to talk about how proud we are of him.  We also talk about him a lot to his son, so that he will know about his father.

What would you like everyone to know about your brother?

He was very outgoing and loved to have fun.  He was a fan of the NY Mets, Oakland Raiders and LA Lakers.  He loved his family very much.

If someone reading this experienced the loss of a loved one, what advice would you give?

Surround yourself with family and friends.  Nothing is worse than the first year.

If there was one word to describe your brother what would it be?

Thank you Lisa for sharing your brother's memory with us. And thank you to all of the men and women who continue to risk their lives for us every day and to those that have fallen. May their sacrifice not be in vain.

Even though Veteran's Day has passed, let's not forget to take the time to stop someone in uniform and thank them for their selfless acts of bravery.

With the approach of the holidays, please find a way to donate a care package to a soldier. The simple things we take for granted are a treasure to them.

If you leave a comment on my blog today I will send you a pdf ARC of my book Full Body Contact which I co-authored with Cristyn West. I will also donate a copy to a soldier.

Don't forget to leave your email address so I know where to send your copy. If you know of an active duty or veteran service member who would also like a copy, be sure to include their email address as well.

One lucky commenter on the tour will also be entered to win a Kindle!

Battlefield Collection has generously donated a military jersey, winner's choice, for me to gift to a soldier.
